01.07.10 - First Class lavatory in operation

After six years spent on concept and design, the new first class lavatory developed by müller/romca Industrial Design started operations in Lufthansa First Class onboard the A380 in June.

Its layout guarantees the hygienic standards of home. The spacious washing room is separated by a wall from the toilet area, which also features a urinal on the back of the door. With the additional option for travelling men,the toilet should stay clean and thus offer enhanced comfort for female passengers. In 2008, müller/romca Industrial Design and Dasell, lavatory supplier to Lufthansa, have already been granted the Crystal Cabin Award for their compact urinal conpet. Currrently, müller/romca  works on the adaption of the new design for other aircraft of Lufthansa’s long haul fleet.
