
01.07.10 - 2000th A320 Family aircraft delivered from Hamburg
On 29 June, a very special aircraft has been handed over in Hamburg to a customer: With MSN 4347, an A320-200 for the private Tunisian charter carrier Nouvelair, the 2000th A320 Family aircraft has been delivered from Hamburg.
The first delivery took place in Hamburg on 27 January 1994 with an A321 for Lufthansa. In those days, the aircraft’s assembly still lasted 101 days. Today, production time is down to less than 23 days. The A320 Family is global market leader in the segment of +100 seats aircraft. Every month, 34 aircraft are currently being assembled at the Airbus sites in Hamburg, Toulouse (France), and Tianjin (China). In December, Airbus plans to increase production to 36 aircraft per month.
