News of Lufthansa Technik Hamburg
Having recently started the provision of technical services for the first of Lufthansa’s Airbus A380, Lufthansa Technik AG is also stepping up its preparation to offer technical services to the new aircraft types Boeing 787 and 747-8.
2000th A320 Family aircraft delivered from Hamburg
On 29 June, a very special aircraft has been handed over in Hamburg to a customer: With MSN 4347, an A320-200 for the private Tunisian charter carrier Nouvelair, the 2000th A320 Family aircraft has been delivered from Hamburg.
Monogram Systems GmbH is now part of Zodiac Cabin Controls GmbH
Zodiac Aerospace activities in aviation are split in three segments. Next to C&D Aerospace, Driessen, Weber, and Sicma, Monogram Systems is now party of the cabin segment, specialised in the delivery of fully integrated, complete cabin fittings including all relevant systems.
First Class lavatory in operation
After six years spent on concept and design, the new first class lavatory developed by müller/romca Industrial Design started operations in Lufthansa First Class onboard the A380 in June.

Progress of Hamburg’s cluster of excellence projects presented
In the frame of the Federal cluster of excellence competition, the progress of the excellence projects of the aviation cluster of the Hamburg Metropolitan Area were presented to Kathrin Meyer, Head of New Innovation Support Instruments and Programmes at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), and members of her ministry and the project holder Jülich on 1 June.
